This FREE event at the Masonic Hall in Campbellford will feature Dr. Kaufmann in conversation with Heather McColman, Counsellor and Clinical Case Manager with Campbellford & District Community Mental Health Centre. The conversation will delve into Dr. Kaufmann’s intimate story of his journey through opioid addiction and recovery.
Drugs, Lies & Docs follows Dr. Kaufmann’s calling to refocus his career to support other healthcare professions struggling with substance dependencies. The conversation will offer hope and insight to all – individuals and their families – touched by addiction. Dr. Kaufmann was once a family doctor in Campbellford and worked at CMH and the Community Mental Health Clinic.
Dr. Kaufmann’s book will be available for sale at the event with a portion of the sales going to the CMH Foundation. If you wish to read the book prior to the event they can be purchased at the Gift Shop at Campbellford Memorial Hospital, Snapshots in Campbellford, Lighthouse Books in Brighton or the Warkworth Public Library.
